LEATHER IS ONE OF THE MOST DESIRABLE TYPES OF UPHOLSTERY TODAY. NOTHING COMPARES TO GENUINE LEATHER. WE USE ONLY THE HIGHEST GRADES OF COW /BUFFALO LEATHER. HIDES ARE THICK ENOUGH TO BE SPLIT INTO SEVERAL LAYERS OF LEATHER. THE UPPERMOST LAYER, OR TOP GRAIN, IS THE MOST DESIRABLE. TOP-GRAIN LEATHERS EXHIBIT NATURAL MARKINGS AND REFLECT THE ESSENCE OF LEATHER IN ITS NATURAL, UNALTERED AND UNPROCESSED STATE. NATURAL SHADE AND GRAIN VARIATIONS SHOULD BE EXPECTED IN ALL TOP- GRAIN LEATHERS.
TANNING
OUR TANNING PROCESS IS DEVELOPED AND SUPERVISED BY THE TFL GROUP OF COMPANIES, WHICH COMPRISE THE SWISS CIBA GIGY, THE GERMAN STOCKHAUSEN AND THE RÖHM COMPANY. THUS OUR LEATHER CHEMISTRY BENEFITS FROM INTEGRATED NET WORK OF RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION OF THIS GROUP
FRAMES
OUR FRAMES ARE CRAFTED FROM SUSTAINABLE KILN-DRIED PLANTATION HARD WOOD – HEVEA BRASILIENSIS, A WASTE PRODUCT OF THE LATEX PRODUCTION. THE FRAMES ARE JOINED TOGETHER WITH NATURAL RUBBER GLUE FROM THE SAME SOURCE AND ENTIRELY COVERED WITH PREMIUM FOAM PADDING.
DESIGN
IN COLLABORATION WITH WELL KNOWN FURNITURE HOUSES AND DESIGNERS, WE MANUFACTURE FURNITURE, WHICH CAN BE DISTINGUISHED BY ITS CHOICE OF MATERIAL , ITS QUALITY AND FUNCTIONALITY.
CUSHION
SEAT CUSHIONS ARE BUILD UP FROM STRESS RESISTANCE PU FOAM, OR NATURAL LATEX AND EITHER COVERED WITH A DACRON-PU MIX AND/OR FEATHERS. PILLOWS ARE FILLED WITH A MIX OF FIBER FILL OR DUCK FEATHERS.
SPRINGS
SPRING SUPPORTS THE SEAT AND BACK ARE MADE FROM INTERWOVEN RECYCLED RUBBER TIRE STRIPS.

Meridian Furniture is a manufacturer specialized in handcrafted leather furniture of the highest standard which are marketed under the brand FERRADA and BISON.
Established in 2003, Meridian Furniture produces sofas, chairs and armchairs, ottomans, recliners and a wide variety of other items, primarily in leather.
The company is staffed with 60 craftsmen with a design and development team under the leadership of a Master Crafstman with over 25 years of experience, who is supported by four other craftsmen with over 20 years of experience each. The design team is also supervised by the accomplished German-born Danish furniture designer, Klaus Kummer with more than 30 years of experience in furniture design.
Meridian Furniture ensures the highest global standards of manufacturing and material by insisting on hand-selection of every hide used. The entire production, such as wooden frames, cutting of stuffing and upholstery material as well as the sewing and finishing is done in house by the company’s own trusted craftsmen.
Meridian Furniture products are designed for a lifetime of use. The company utilizes extreme testing methods to maintain the durability of its product.
Meridian Furniture also leads the industry with a GREEN LINE of eco-friendly products marketed under FERRADA ‘GREEN LINE’. This product line use the most stringently monitored eco-friendly materials, such as, natural latex insteand of PU foam, hevea brasiliensis wood, which is a waste product from the latex production, and duck and goose feather to fill the cushion. All finishing is water or plant based.
